I have to admit that I normally don't watch the CBC, but one show has recently caught my attention. There's a show called CBC Marketplace which report on consumer issues. The show goes around exposing scams, dangers, etc. to the every day consumer. The first episode I saw was entitled, "Getting Juiced," which exposes the Goji Juice scam. Goji Juice is being hyped as a miracle drink that can cure whatever ails you. A bottle of this juice goes for about $50 each, and an average person would need about five bottles of the stuff per month to stay healthy, so that's $250/month.

It's pretty entertaining watching the seller of Goji Juice being grilled by the TV host, as he uses all this mumbo jumbo to try to defend the stuff. Even more funny is when they start digging dirt on the seller... and find that someone's PhD comes from a sketchy unaccredited university.
